Before I start this blog, I just want to let you know that I have nothing against gay. I have two friends that belong to this category but I'm ok with them. We respect each others' private lives and never talk much about that.
Here's my account on 16th October 2008, Thursday approximately about 9pm...
I just had dinner with a friend from London and we were looking for some CDs at HMV at Citylink. Just at that moment, I sense the call of nature and I know it's time for me to make some cake. I walked to the nearest toilet, the one beside a beach wear retail outlet which is just beside the newly furnished Charles and Keith. To my surprise, all the cubicles (I think should be 6-7 cubicles) were occupied. I was wondering how could that be because this is such a "ulu" toilet and that stretch of Citylink was not crowded at all. Anyway I waited and waited. Finally I heard a flushing sound from the first cubicle and I stood outside that cubicle...waiting....
Just then, a guy opened the door slightly and when I took a quick glance, I saw the toilet cover down and a lot of toilet paper on the floor. In my mind, I thought he must have messed up the toilet bowl and that's why he put down the toilet cover and walked out embarassed (actually it's sheepishly). He wriggled out of the slightly opened door, looked at me with a "femine" look and tried to close the door behind him. I didn't bothered much but just felt abit disgusted at the perceived dirty state of the toilet bowl.
For a split second, I thought I saw another person in the toilet. I was shocked but subconsciously my tummy told my arm to push open the door as I needed the toilet. In response to my pushing, someone from within pushed the door and tried to close the door. My sudden shock turned into ultimate disgust upon the realisation of what had just happened, and what could possibly taken place in that cubicle all this while.... I turn my head to looked at the guy who had just walked out and from a distance, he kept looking back.
Instantly, my nature call just hanged up and I lost all the momentum needed to make cake. I walked out of the toilet and promise myself that I will never go to that toilet again. Not because it's fully occupied, but because you never know who WERE inside (a cubicle) and what WERE they doing before you. My wife ever told me that her gay friend told her that Raffles Shopping Mall & Citylink is the hotspot for gays to pick each other up. I do not believe but tonight I don't have to believe anymore because I had seen it all.......
I can't help but wonder why are all the cubicles fully occupied and what other activities are really taking place inside all these cubicles....
Don't think!!!! I know you are thinking... I say don't think... See, there you are thinking again. Guess you must be feeling super disgusted and feel like puking now.
